Viking Mines has launched a new interactive investor hub to give its followers direct access to management as the hunt for tungsten at its Linka project in Nevada ramps up.

The company says its hub will provide real-time access to company announcements, reports and presentations, including a live upcoming webinar by managing director Julian Woodcock to lay out the latest progress at its high-grade tungsten play.

Historic workings at Viking Mines’ Linka tungsten project at night, under the picturesque Nevada sky.

According to management, the new platform has been customised to deliver unrivalled shareholder engagement and will enable direct interaction with the company’s executives.

Viking says it will complement its recent over-the-counter (OTC) listing in the United States, a strategic play to broaden its reach into North American strategic metals markets.

Washington has become increasingly focused on securing domestic supply chains for minerals it deems vital to its economic and national security, with the defence-critical tungsten sitting near the very top of that list.

Known for its extreme hardness and high melting point, tungsten is a core component in everything from high-speed cutting tools, all the way to aerospace alloys.

With much of the global supply currently controlled by China, the US has a vested interest in developing its own sources, putting companies with projects on American soil in a desirable position.

Linka sits in Nevada, widely regarded as one of the world’s premier mining jurisdictions, with a long and storied history of extracting riches from the ground.

The historic project was worked in the 1940’s and 1950’s, producing high-grade tungsten from underground, with Viking confident that the mine still holds the potential for a much bigger, as yet barely touched, system.

The company’s work has already delivered some solid grades from surface sampling, with the focus now on growing the system ahead of unveiling a potential JORC-compliant exploration target.

For starters, the broader project features a long prospective contact margin that could contain multiple mineralised lodes across the area and warrants more targeted scrutiny.

With a commodity firmly in the US Government’s strategic crosshairs and a project in one of the world’s most mining-friendly backyards, Viking is working flat out to get its story out to a global audience.

By opening up a direct line to its management and putting its US tungsten plans front and centre, Viking is setting the table for what could be a steady stream of news flow from the Silver State.
