Five of Australia’s biggest retail brands are offering cost-of-living relief, with free membership and six months of free delivery through the OnePass program.

New OnePass customers can take advantage of a six-month trial with no minimum spend at Wesfarmers brands Bunnings Warehouse, Kmart, Target, Officeworks and Priceline to help households manage fuel and everyday costs from Tuesday.

The OnePass benefits are available to new customers who sign up to the six month free trial before May 14.

Under the offer, monthly members will receive a six-month pause on their membership payments, after which their subscription will resume their payment plan which is currently $4 per month.

Restaurant owner Anthony Koutroulis will sign up to the deal after struggling with the cost of living and fuel crisis.

The Melbourne father of three said rising grocery and petrol costs on top of managing a business was becoming stressful.

“By the end of each month you can see which bills you have to pay, but it is tougher to co-ordinate which ones to pay first and which ones to pay a week later,” he said.

“Anything that can help at the moment we would love.”

“You have to be strong, but there’s some days when you’re mentally not there, but you just have to pull through and do it for the family.”

Mother Angelique Oliver said it has been a shock to get used to a new standard of living and being comfortable spending less.

Ms Oliver said her family had cut down on spending and drove around less to help manage rising costs.

The mum said it was a 30 minute drive to the nearest Kmart and the OnePass offer would help her save money on fuel and delivery costs.

“It suits us,” she said.

Bunnings Managing Director Michael Schneider said free delivery was one of the most direct ways the brands could ease the financial pressure customers may be feeling.

“We know that every dollar counts right now. Being able to shop online and have your order delivered for free makes a real difference to the weekly household budget,” he said.

Kmart Group Managing Director, Aleks Spaseska said the initiative was focused on delivering practical value at a time when household budgets are under pressure.

“We know many families are facing ongoing cost pressures. Alongside our commitment to delivering everyday low prices across Kmart and Target, this is another practical way we can help our customers,” said Ms Spaseska.
