‘The Boys’ star Karl Urban posts cheeky 10-year old viral moment
Karl Urban revisits ‘Five Guys’ viral moment after 10 years as ‘The Boys’ airs

Karl Urban, best known for his portrayal of Billy Butcher in The Boys, returns to his cheeky mode on social media with a playful throwback.

With a snap of himself in the background of a cheeseburger, fries, and a drink, he writes, “Five Guys. If ya know you know and yes I teleported.”

It slyly nods to the actor’s viral interview with The Hook in 2016, hinting that he remembers the chaos as clear as day.

The iconic blooper became comedy gold when host Jahannah James – in her own way – asked a simple question to Urban and his co-star John Cho, who were promoting Star Trek Beyond at the time.

“If you could set up a teleport from one place to another, where would that be?” she asked, adding an American fast food chain to the question. “Like your bed to Five Guys or… where would you choose?”

Urban, a New Zealander, and Cho, from South Korea, appeared unfamiliar with the restaurant, which spiralled the moment into confusion.

“I’m sorry?” The Boys star chimed in to ask for clarity. “Our bed, to five guys?”

His co-star, likewise, unaware of the burger chain, asked the same question, “What’s a Five Guys?”

James, in a fluster of confusion, answered, “It’s like a burger place?”

Instantly, the pair went into frantic backtracking, turning the awkward back-and-forth into a viral moment.

“Whatever you’re into,” the 53-year-old hilariously said, adding, “If you’re into that, that’s cool. That’s impressive.”

Urban, now, a decade later, revisits one of the funniest moments as the initial two episodes of his critically acclaimed show The Boys’ final season have been dropped on Prime Video.
