One lucky person has become Australia’s latest millionaire over the Easter long weekend without even realising it.

The elusive Cairns resident has bagged $4.8m in Set for Life, set to be paid out in monthly instalments of $20,000 in the next 20 years.

Yet the life-changing sum is yet to be claimed, leading The Lott spokesman Matt Hart to believe the ticket holder is not yet aware of their new-found fortune.

“Our mystery winner is likely oblivious to the fact that they became Set for Life on Saturday night,” he said.

“We can’t wait to speak to this winner and confirm the exciting news.

“It’s the type of surprise that could make 2026 and the next few decades unforgettable.”

The winning ticket was purchased from Raintrees Newsagency on Koch Street in Cairns.

Saturday’s win marks the fourth Set for Life division win in Queensland in the past three weeks.

“If you think you’re the mystery winner we’re searching for, call us on 131 868 to begin the prize claim process,” Mr Hart said.
