Tennis legend Sir Andy Murray has revealed that he could return to coaching in the future.

The 38-year-old stunned fans in late 2024 when he announced that he would be mentoring Novak Djokovic at the 2025 Australian Open.

Djokovic made it to the semi-finals of the tournament but was forced to drop out due to injury.

The pair split a few months later, shortly before the start of Wimbledon.

Murray has not coached professionally since, but that could change in the near future.

Asked by The Athletic if he would consider a return to coaching, the Scot responded: “I think at some stage I probably would.

“My priorities are lying elsewhere just now, but I would do it again in the future.

“I do like the idea of helping a much younger player, a little bit like – not that I would expect it to turn out like this – the [Juan Carlos] Ferrero-[Carlos] Alcaraz relationship.

“A younger player that you’re really able to help and have a really positive influence on. I would find something like that quite interesting, but certainly not right now.”

Murray has taken up golf since retiring from his playing career two years ago.

He is also working on several investments.

Last month he joined a host of huge stars – including Ant and Dec and Theo Walcott – to invest in a rising golf brand.

And more recently he joined Sheffield United striker Patrick Bamford in working with British footwear brand hylo.

Murray was first introduced to hylo through Redrice Ventures, a venture capital firm he joined last year as an Associate Partner.
