Canada vs Tunisia game halted as Ralph Priso exits early with apparent injury

Canada’s international friendly against Tunisia was disrupted early after defender Ralph Priso was forced off with an apparent injury.

According to match reports, the 23-year-old centre-back exited the game in the 26th minute after going down following a defensive challenge during the soccer clash.

Priso had made a clean sliding tackle to stop Tunisia’s attack, but remained on the ground in visible discomfort after the play.

Medical staff quickly came onto the pitch to assess him before he was taken off. He was replaced by Kamal Miller in the Canadian defence.

The match marked Priso’s first start for the senior national team. He had previously made his debut off the bench in Canada’s recent friendly against Iceland, coming on late in the game.

The Toronto-born defender has also featured regularly at club level this season, making five starts for the Vancouver Whitecaps.

There has been no immediate update on the severity of the injury, but the early substitution raises concerns for both club and country as Canada continues its preparations ahead of upcoming fixtures.

The incident adds an early setback in what was otherwise a significant milestone appearance for the young defender.
