Uma Thurman is gushing over her ‘Pretty Lethal’ costars on how they performed their own stunts.

The 55-year-old actress dished on her experience of working on the set of the new action thriller during its premiere at the 2026 SXSW Film & TV Festival.

As the film also stars Millicent Simmonds, Lana Condor, Maddie Ziegler, Avantika, and Iris Apatow, Uma opened up about how she was impressed by their dedication.

“My part wasn’t as stunt-heavy as the other actresses in the movie, so it wasn’t hard for me in that way,” Uma told People.

But her costars’ performances were “mind-blowing.”

She went on to say, “They did all their own dancing and stunts, and they were working together with a stunt team to create this incredible action sequence.”

Uma’s role in ‘Pretty Lethal’ did not reqired much stunts, but the actress is known for her action projects. The ‘Kill Bill’ actress looked back on how she drew her own work in the two ‘Kill Bill’ movies while she prepares for ‘The Old Guard 2.’

“Thank God for that, because I signed on quite late for this project so I didn’t have time to do proper training,” she told The Times in July 2025. “Fortunately I had put in hundreds of hours learning how to hold a sword.”

Elsewhere during the premiere, Maddie revealed how Uma’s stunt in Kill Bill was an inspiration behind the making of ‘Pretty Lethal.’

Gushing over Umma’s “action fight scenes,” she said, “Her being just a badass woman, we looked to her for inspiration. When [director] Vicky [Jewson] had told me that Uma wanted to do it and respond to it, I was beside myself.”

“She’s such a lovely person and so talented, graceful, poised and kind. I couldn’t have had a better experience,” she added.
