A truck stuck under a bridge in Mount Lawley, leading to the cancellation of trains on the Midland, Ellenbrook, Airport and High Wycombe, is still causing a headache for commuters.

The incident took place about 1.30pm, with passengers waiting on trains from Perth station told there would likely be lengthy delays and that rail replacement buses would be put on.

Passengers were told trains would not be travelling past Claisebrook as there was a disruption between Perth and Bayswater.

“If you are aware of any bus services that will get you where you need to go, please use them,” train staff said.

“Replacement rail services buses are in the process of being organised.”

An hour later the line was open but causing severe delays to those lines, as well as Fremantle-bound trains.

“Trains will continue to run however they will not be running to the regular schedule,” Transperth said.

“Please allow extra travelling time and be aware that delayed trains may not connect with timetabled bus and train services.”
