An elderly man has been charged with the manslaughter of a 78-year-old man following an alleged fatal brawl outside a home in Brisbane’s north.

Police allege both men got into a fight on February 21 outside an Albany Creek Rd address in the suburb of Aspley.

It is alleged the 84-year-old mnpushed the 78-year-old, causing him to fall.

The 78-year-old sustained life-threatening head injuries and was taken to hospital where he died two days later.

“Following a thorough investigation, police have since charged the 84-year-old man with one count of manslaughter,” Queensland Police said in a statement.

The 84-year-old man is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday.
