Olympio Metals has delivered a game-changing gold intercept at its Bousquet gold project in Quebec, with the first assays from phase two drilling at the Paquin prospect returning a bonanza 7.5 metres at 41.81 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 182 metres depth in a single diamond drill hole.
The result is Olympio’s best-ever gold hit across the entire project and confirms the visible gold previously logged in core from the same interval.
The company says the intercept has added significant confidence to its structurally-controlled mineralisation model at Paquin, where veining in the gold zones points to a complex array of orientations and high-grade lode potential.
Assays for the remainder of that diamond hole and six more holes from the phase two program are still pending, with the company keen to use the next suite of results to refine its geological model and guide next steps.

The spectacular intercept has backed up an earlier string of strong visuals at Paquin. In mid-February, Olympio logged multiple signs of visible gold in the same drill hole, within a 6.25-metre zone of dark quartz veining and associated sulphides.
The current program was designed to follow up on other high-grade hits from the 2025 maiden campaign, which included 6.4m assaying 6.54g/t gold and 1.5m assaying 54.2g/t gold.
The phase two campaign at Bousquet has now wrapped up seven holes for a total of 1639 metres.
The project sits on Quebec’s famed Cadillac Break, sometimes called the Larder Lake-Cadillac Break, a major structural fault zone extending over 250km from Matachewan in Ontario through to Val-d’Or in Quebec.

These first results from the second phase of drilling highlight the potential of the high grade lodes and are the best drill results for the Bousquet Project to date.
As a prolific gold metallogenic-tectonic zone, it hosts significant gold deposits and mining camps across its entire length, particularly through the Abitibi region. It is a regional-scale structure associated with more than 110 million ounces of gold.
Notably, Olympio’s flagship project lies within 15 kilometres of major operating mines, including Agnico Eagle’s giant 15.8-million-ounce La Ronde gold project and Iamgold’s 2.4-million-ounce Westwood gold project.
Olympio holds an option to acquire 80 per cent of Bousquet from Bullion Gold Resources, with Bullion retaining a 20 per cent net carried interest. The company has already made significant payments and exploration investments to advance the project.
The latest result has not only confirmed the presence of high-grade gold at Paquin, it also underlines the effectiveness of the company’s structural targeting approach. With further assays due soon, Olympio appears well-placed to build on this momentum and unlock the broader potential of Bousquet.
Having already bagged a bonanza gold drill hit and visible gold credits, Olympio’s Bousquet story is heating up fast, with more assays still to come. Momentum appears to be building as each new result adds confidence to the company’s geological model and the high-grade lode potential at Paquin.
The proximity of multiple world-class gold deposits within a massive, regional-scale host structure, backed by a long history of prospectivity, offers strong potential for success to explorers with well thought-out geological models and persistence.
Olympio’s approach is unlocking new opportunities, and Bousquet is shaping up as one to watch.
