Britney Spears ‘craves connections’ after DUI arrest amid lonely life: Source

Britney Spears seeks connection but struggles to maintain a bond with friends.

The 44-year-old singer, who was recently arrested over drunk driving by highway police in Ventura, California, on March 4 late at night and released shortly the next morning, reportedly wants to be around her friends.

A source told People, “She lives a very lonely life and it’s not helping her emotionally.”

“She craves connections,” the insider remarked.

The tattler further added that most of her relationships were short-lived, noting the pattern as “sad.”

“People come in and out of her life, most relationships are short-lived. She really struggles with maintaining friendships. It’s all very sad,” the bird chirped.

About her drunk driving case, the officials reported that Spears “was driving erratically at a high rate of speed.” After she got pulled over by police, she showed signs of “impairment and submitted to a series of field sobriety tests.”

After the arrest, Britney was “very emotional and regretful” that morning.

The California Highway Police said the case is still under investigation and chemical test results are yet to come.

Britney’s spokesperson called the arrest “an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable.”

“Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time,” the statement by Spears’ representative read.
