Who has the most Grammys in history? A look at the record holders

Music’s biggest night has produced many record breakers since the Grammy Awards were first held in 1959, but one artist now stands above the rest. For fans searching who has the most Grammys, the answer is clear.

Beyoncé holds the record for the most Grammy Awards in history, with 35 wins. Her career spans decades, beginning with Destiny’s Child and expanding into a solo run that includes chart-topping hits and critically acclaimed albums.

Her recent work, including Cowboy Carter, has further cemented her place at the top of Grammy history.

Before Beyoncé set the record, the title belonged to classical conductor Sir Georg Solti. Solti earned 31 Grammy Awards during his career, largely for his work with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Quincy Jones ranks next with 28 Grammys, recognized for his wide-ranging influence as a producer, arranger, and composer.

His work with Michael Jackson and many other artists helped shape modern popular music.

Bluegrass star Alison Krauss and jazz legend Chick Corea have each won 27 Grammys, highlighting their lasting impact in their respective genres.

Among groups, Irish rock band U2 leads with 22 Grammy Awards.

In hip hop, Jay-Z and Kanye West have each collected 24 Grammys.
