ClearVue Technologies has signed a three-year license partner agreement with Kukyoung Glass and Metal Co., a leading South Korean producer of architectural glass, to embed ClearVue’s innovative power-generating solar facade technology into premium commercial and institutional building projects across South Korea and the Asia Pacific region.

Under the deal, Kukyoung becomes an official ClearVue fabricator, authorised to market and deploy ClearVue’s solar glazing technologies within its advanced glass products.

ClearVue Technologies has signed a license partnership with South Korean glass producer Kukyoung Glass and Metal Co. to embed ClearVue’s solar facade tech into buildings.

The partnership targets renewable energy projects, enhancing energy efficiency, sustainability and on-site power generation through ClearVue’s building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) systems. It also grants ClearVue access to Kukyoung’s significant customer network, including property developers, architects and government bodies promoting green building agendas.

Given South Korea’s dynamic construction market and its strong emphasis on carbon neutrality, the collaboration could result in a significant positive impact to ClearVue’s bottom line.

‘ClearVue now has a direct channel into projects where innovation, quality and sustainability are top priorities.’

ClearVue Technologies managing director and CEO Mr. Douglas (Doug) Hunt

ClearVue Technologies managing director and CEO Mr. Douglas (Doug) Hunt said: “We are proud to be working with Kukyoung because they are a highly respected leader in the South Korean glass facade industry. Kukyoung’s deep expertise in architectural glass systems going back to 1959 means they are known for delivering premium, high-performance solutions to architects, developers and construction firms across the region.”

Joint R&D initiatives by ClearVue and Kukyoung will align with national green building programs, while co-development efforts will employ Kukyoung’s glass engineering prowess alongside ClearVue’s photovoltaic expertise to pioneer next-generation facade innovations tailored for Asia.

The agreement underscores ClearVue’s partnership-driven commercialisation strategy, which has propelled a pipeline growth of 54 per cent since June 2025.

Notably, 75 per cent of new opportunities stem from partners, with $60 million in proposals submitted over the past three months alone – a clear validation of the approach.
