Taylor Swift gives final verdict on much-awaited Super Bowl performance

Taylor Swift has finally answered the Super Bowl calls, but it’s not exactly what fans were hoping for.

The 35-year-old pop superstar has reportedly ended the negotiations with NFL, after her “demands” were not met.

The Anti-Hero hitmaker had put forward a list of terms and conditions as she discussed the deal with the association, as Rob Shuter revealed on Substack.

However, Shuter shared that the deal has fallen through, since the NFL did not agree to her terms.

He added that the association wanted her to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show for “exposure,” but an inside source stated, “Taylor Swift doesn’t need exposure.”

There was also the fact that the NFL has no monetary benefits for the performers and the Grammy winner did not agree to that.

An industry insider told the writer, “She wasn’t asking for favors, she was asking for respect.”

The Eras Tour performer also asked for full rights to the performance alongside segments for the promotion of her own music.

Thus, Swift declined the deal since “Taylor knows her worth. She knows the kind of ratings she brings, the global attention she commands. She wasn’t about to hand that over for free.”

They explained that “She wanted a deal that reflected her value” and since Swift doesn’t “need the Super Bowl,” but rather “The Super Bowl absolutely needs her,” adding that “Without Taylor, it’s just another halftime show.”

This year became the 11th year that Swift has declined the NFL’s halftime offer, disappointing fans who were waiting to see her beau, Travis Kelce, and the pop star perform together at the event.
