Katy Perry looks back at the difficult year as she marks one-year anniversary of her album 143 with a heartfelt Instagram post.

The pop icon shared that the year has been a rollercoaster, testing her personally and professionally.

“We cats (and rats) have been through it, but wherever the ride took us, we have been together,” she wrote to her fans, known as KatyCats.

The Dark Horse crooner’s message comes months after her split from actor Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares a 5-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove.

Despite the challenges, Perry has found strength in her music and her community of fans. “I’ve been pushed to acknowledge whether I love myself finally,” she wrote.

“I get the opportunity to answer that question anew every day. Today’s answer is yes.”

The Roar singer is currently in the midst of The Lifetimes Tour, a colorful and video game-themed show that has been praised for its energy and creativity. The tour has given her the chance to connect with fans worldwide, even as her personal life made headlines.

“I am proud of where and how I have landed in this moment. Proud of myself, proud of my fans, and proud that I keep on swinging,” she shared.

Looking ahead, the singer says she’s ready to trust the process instead of forcing outcomes.

“No forcing, no controlling-just trusting the angels, the fans, and the music to guide me where I’m meant to go,” she wrote. She ended her post by thanking her fans: “I couldn’t do any of this without you.”
